America Has 50,000 Towers.
We're Waking Them Up.

Scarecrow is the infrastructure layer for U.S. airspace security — AI-powered, sensor-agnostic, and already standing.

The Problem

The skies above us are unguarded — and the adversary already knows.

01 / THREAT
Undefended.

Low-altitude airspace is effectively undefended at national scale.

02 / THREAT
Fragmented.

Existing cUAS systems are isolated, proprietary, and require purpose-built infrastructure.

03 / THREAT
Active.

The threat isn't coming. It's already here.

The Solution

One Network.
Every Tower.
Total Awareness.

Scarecrow deploys across existing broadcast and tower infrastructure — already powered, already elevated, already distributed nationwide. We add the sensors, the AI, and the command layer.

Counter-Swarm

A Patriot is $3M. An FPV is $500. The math has changed.

The defense stack built for individual drones will fail against coordinated swarms. Counter-swarm is a real-time distributed-systems problem — closer to Cloudflare than to Raytheon. That is the layer Scarecrow owns.

Distributed sensor mesh

50,000+ tower nodes, not a handful of $30M radars. Every additional node strengthens the picture. Coverage scales horizontally — like a CDN, not a missile battery.

02 / Pillar

Edge AI per node

Detection, classification, and track formation run on tower-mounted compute. No round-trip to a remote ops center. Sub-second decisions at swarm scale.

03 / Pillar

Sensor- and effector-agnostic fusion

RF, radar, EO/IR fused into one real-time picture. Each track is matched to the cheapest effective effector — kinetic, RF/GNSS denial, directed energy, or cyber attack on the autonomy stack itself.

04 / Pillar

Software-defined, horizontally scalable

New sensors, new effectors, and new threat models ship as software updates across the mesh. The network gets smarter every week — not every procurement cycle.

● Thesis

Swarms are defeated by the cheapest effective effector — not the most expensive one. The bottleneck is detection, fusion, and tasking at scale. Scarecrow is that layer for the United States.

FAQ

What investors and agencies ask first.

What is Scarecrow?
Scarecrow is a U.S. airspace security infrastructure company. We turn the existing network of 50,000+ communications towers into a sensor-agnostic, AI-powered detection grid for drones, drone swarms, low-altitude aircraft, and emerging aerial threats across the continental United States.
How does Scarecrow defend against drone swarms?
Drone swarm defense is a distributed-systems problem, not a single-weapon problem. A $3M interceptor cannot answer a $500 FPV drone, and it definitely cannot answer 100 of them flying coordinated paths. Scarecrow fuses every sensor on every tower — RF, radar, EO/IR — into one real-time picture of the airspace, tracks every object in a swarm individually, and routes that track data to the right kinetic, non-kinetic, and autonomy-stack effectors. The detection and fusion layer is the bottleneck for counter-swarm; that is the layer we own.
Why does counter-swarm need a Cloudflare-style architecture instead of a Raytheon-style one?
Legacy air defense was built around a small number of expensive interceptors guided by a small number of expensive radars. Swarms invert that economic model. Winning requires a distributed, always-on sensor mesh with edge compute at every node, software-defined fusion, and the ability to scale horizontally as threats scale. That is closer to a global edge network like Cloudflare than to a traditional prime contractor stack — and it is exactly how Scarecrow is built.
Who are Scarecrow's customers?
Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, the FAA, state and local public safety agencies, and commercial operators in critical infrastructure, energy, stadiums, and logistics.
How is Scarecrow different from other counter-UAS companies?
Most counter-UAS vendors sell a single sensor or a point system optimized for one drone at a time. Scarecrow is the underlying infrastructure layer — sensor-agnostic, tower-deployed, and designed for nationwide, multi-track, swarm-scale coverage rather than perimeter defense.
Does Scarecrow handle non-kinetic and autonomy-stack defenses?
Yes. Because Scarecrow is sensor- and effector-agnostic, the network can cue RF/GNSS denial, directed-energy systems, cyber effects against the autonomy stack, and kinetic interceptors — and pick the right one per track. Swarms are defeated by the cheapest effective effector, not the most expensive one.
Is Scarecrow a dual-use company?
Yes. The same network powers defense and homeland security missions while serving commercial airspace customers including UTM (unmanned traffic management), critical infrastructure protection, and event security.
Is Scarecrow raising capital?
Scarecrow is in active conversations with strategic capital partners aligned with national security and defense-tech, including funds backing YC's counter-swarm thesis. Investors can request a confidential briefing through the contact form.
Where is Scarecrow based?
Scarecrow operates across the United States with a focus on CONUS (continental U.S.) coverage. Briefings are available in person and via secure channels.
